LEAD QUALIFICATION
Automatic Lead Qualification by How Interested People Really Are
Stop guessing which leads to call first. Listen duration, key presses and replies sort your list into hot, warm and cold before your team picks up a phone.
QUICK ANSWER
Smart Growth AI qualifies leads automatically using behaviour, not forms. A short voice call measures how long each person listened, whether they pressed 1 or 2, and whether they later replied on WhatsApp or RCS. Those signals give every lead an interest level, so your team calls hot leads first and cold leads cost you nothing extra.
01
Behaviour, not guesswork
Listening for 25 seconds says more than a filled form. Interest level is based on what people actually did.
02
Sales calls in the right order
Your team sees hot leads first, with the clip they heard and their details, instead of working a list top to bottom.
03
No spend on cold contacts
People who hung up within 10 seconds get no paid follow-up, so qualification itself saves money.
The problem with qualifying leads by hand
When a list of 10,000 or 1,00,000 contacts lands with a sales or admissions team, the usual approach is to start calling from the top. Two weeks later, the team has spoken to a fraction of the list, most of whom were not interested, and the warm leads at the bottom have gone cold.
Automatic lead qualification flips that. Before anyone on your team picks up the phone, every contact has already been given an interest level based on how they responded. Your people then spend their time where it counts.
The signals we use
Smart Growth AI qualifies leads on things people actually did, not on assumptions:
- Listen duration on a roughly 30-second voice clip. This is the backbone of the score.
- Key presses such as pressing 1 to talk to someone now, or 2 for a callback or more information, depending on how you set the clip up.
- Replies and taps on WhatsApp or RCS messages sent after the call.
- Call-backs to the number shared in the thank-you SMS.
How the qualification flow runs
- Step 1: IVR call goes to the full list with listen-duration tracking switched on.
- Step 2: Under 10 seconds is marked not interested. No paid follow-up goes out.
- Step 3: 10 to 25 seconds is marked partially interested and receives an RCS carousel or video brochure.
- Step 4: 25 seconds or more is marked highly interested and receives an Official WhatsApp template with up to 10 videos.
- Step 5: Pressed 1 is a hot lead. The call connects to a live agent immediately and the agent is notified of who it is and which clip they heard.
- Step 6: Replies on WhatsApp or RCS move a lead up. The AI chatbot can ask a couple of simple questions, like course or budget, and record the answers.
What a qualified lead looks like in your sheet
Every lead lands in one Google Sheet you choose, or in your CRM via webhook/API. A typical row includes name, mobile, city, product or course interest, listen duration, button pressed and interest level. For education, the parent name is included too. Your team can filter for hot leads and start calling within minutes.
The AI campaign report adds context: cost per lead, which voice clip kept people listening longer and which template led to more replies.
Why this is cheaper than qualifying with WhatsApp alone
Sending a WhatsApp template to every contact just to see who responds gets expensive on large lists. Using voice as the first filter means richer messages go only to people who earned them. In our worked example on the Smart Growth AI Campaign page, a 3,00,000-contact list costs about ₹1,00,501 with interest-based follow-up compared with about ₹2,47,210 when everything goes to everyone, around 59% less on that example. Example rates are before GST and your quote can differ.
Using the scores beyond the first call
Qualified segments are useful long after the campaign ends. People who listened 25 seconds or more, pressed a key or replied can be used to build Meta ad audiences, so Instagram Reels or WhatsApp Status ads reach the warm part of your list rather than everyone. Cold contacts can be rested and tried again later with a different clip.

FAQ
Questions people ask
Is listen duration really a good sign of interest?
It is a practical one. Someone who hangs up in five seconds and someone who listens to a full 30-second clip are very different leads. Combined with key presses and WhatsApp or RCS replies, it gives your team a sensible order to work in.
Can I change the 10 and 25 second thresholds?
The default bands are under 10 seconds, 10 to 25 seconds and 25 seconds or more, matched to a roughly 30-second clip. If your clip is a different length, talk to our team during onboarding and we will set bands that make sense for it.
What does pressing 2 do?
You decide. Many campaigns use 1 for an immediate live agent and 2 for a callback request or more information on WhatsApp. Both are recorded against the lead and shown in the sheet and report.
Can the WhatsApp chatbot ask qualifying questions?
Yes. The AI chatbot builder can create a short flow that asks things like preferred course, city or budget, and the answers are saved with the lead. You can edit the flow without code.
Will my sales team still need to call leads?
Yes, and that is the point. Qualification makes sure your team calls hot and warm leads first, with context, instead of spending the day on people who were never going to respond.
