Admission Campaigns for Colleges and Universities
Reach Class 12 students and their parents across districts and states, find out who is interested, and move them from enquiry to application.
QUICK ANSWER
Smart Growth AI runs admission campaigns for colleges and universities across voice, WhatsApp, RCS and SMS. A short IVR clip goes to student lists; listen time sorts them by interest; WhatsApp video brochures go only to interested students; and press-1 callers reach admission counsellors live. Applications, campus visits and fee payments can all be followed up automatically.
01
Many programmes, one campaign
Record separate clips for BCom, BBA, BSc, BCA or PG programmes and see in the report which brought better leads.
02
Reach beyond your city
Voice and SMS reach students in smaller towns where WhatsApp from unknown numbers often goes unread.
03
Application to fee payment
Remind applicants about documents, interview slots and first-year fee deadlines with payment links on WhatsApp.
A university admission office runs many campaigns at once
Unlike a coaching centre with one or two courses, a college or university is filling dozens of programmes at the same time. Undergraduate arts, commerce and science. Professional courses like BBA and BCA. Postgraduate programmes. Sometimes diplomas and lateral entries too. Each has its own audience, its own deadline and its own counsellors.
At the same time, students are applying to several institutions and waiting for board results, entrance exam scores and state counselling rounds. Your job is to stay on their shortlist until they decide.
How Smart Growth AI fits your admission cycle
Before results: build awareness
Use Instagram Reels and Click-to-WhatsApp ads to bring students into a WhatsApp conversation. A chatbot built with our AI chatbot builder asks which programme they are interested in, their city and their stream, and saves the answers to your sheet.
After results: the main campaign
This is where the Smart Growth AI Campaign does the heavy lifting. A 30-second clip goes to your student list. Then:
- Students who listened under 10 seconds are left alone. No more spend on them.
- Those who listened 10 to 25 seconds get an RCS carousel of your campus, labs, hostel and placements, up to 10 cards.
- Those who listened 25 seconds or more get a WhatsApp template with programme videos, the application link and a counsellor's number.
- Students or parents who press 1 are put through to a live counsellor at that moment.
Everyone who answered gets an SMS with your admissions number. Numbers on DND or unreachable get RCS, then a final SMS.
During applications: keep them moving
An enquiry is not an application. Automatic WhatsApp messages can remind students to finish the online form, upload marksheets, book an interview or campus visit, and pay the application fee. A WhatsApp form can collect missing details and post them to your admission portal or CRM via webhook/API.
After the offer: protect the seat
Students often hold offers from more than one college. Timely messages about the fee deadline, hostel allotment, orientation date and document verification help confirmed students feel looked after, and reduce last-minute drop-offs.
Giving each programme its own report
The AI campaign report breaks down cost per lead and shows which voice clip and which template worked better. If your BBA clip is pulling twice the interest of your BCom clip, you will see it in the first few days and can adjust the script, the list or the offer. Lead details include name, parent name, mobile, course interest, city and interest level.
Working with your counsellors and CRM
Admission counsellors get a notification for each press-1 call: who they spoke to and which clip that student heard. Leads can go to a free Google Sheet that you set up, or into LeadSquared, Zoho, HubSpot or TeleCRM via webhook/API. A shared WhatsApp inbox lets several counsellors reply from one official number without stepping on each other.
Thinking about cost
On a large list, the biggest saving comes from not sending expensive WhatsApp and RCS messages to everyone. In our worked example for 3 lakh students, the interest-based campaign came to about ₹1,00,501 against ₹2,47,210 for sending every channel to everyone, at example rates before GST. Your quote will depend on your list and rates. See pricing for details.

FAQ
Questions people ask
Can we run separate campaigns for each programme?
Yes. You can split your list by stream or interest and record a different clip and template for each programme. The AI report shows cost per lead and the best clip and template for each, so you can shift budget to what is working.
Does it connect to our admission portal or CRM?
Leads can go to a free Google Sheet or to your CRM or admission portal via webhook/API, including tools such as LeadSquared, Zoho, HubSpot and TeleCRM. WhatsApp forms can post directly to your own endpoint.
How do we reach students in smaller towns?
Voice calls and SMS work on any phone and are often the best way to reach students in smaller towns. Interested students then receive WhatsApp or RCS follow-ups with more detail, and anyone can press 1 to speak to a counsellor.
Can we send interview and document reminders?
Yes. Automatic WhatsApp notifications can remind applicants about interview slots, document uploads, verification dates and fee deadlines. If your system has an API, the chatbot can show each student their own application status.
Is the 59 percent saving guaranteed?
No. That figure comes from one worked example of 3 lakh students at example rates before GST. Actual savings depend on your list, how many people listen and your channel rates. The report shows your real cost per lead.
