RICH MESSAGES, NO APP
RCS Business Messaging with video carousels and buttons
Rich cards, swipeable carousels of up to 10 videos or images, tappable buttons and a verified sender, right inside the phone's default messages app.
QUICK ANSWER
RCS Business Messaging is the upgraded version of SMS on Android phones. With Smart Growth AI you can send a verified-sender message with rich cards, carousels of up to 10 images or videos, and action buttons, with no app to install. It also works as a fallback channel for DND and failed numbers in a multi-channel campaign.
01
A brochure in one swipe
Put up to 10 video or image cards in one carousel: campuses, courses, doctors, plans. Each card can carry its own button.
02
Your name, verified
Messages show your brand name and logo as a verified sender, which looks far more trustworthy than a random short code.
03
Reach numbers others miss
Used as a fallback, RCS can reach people on DND or whose voice call failed, before the last-resort SMS.
What is RCS, and why should a business care?
RCS stands for Rich Communication Services. Think of it as SMS that grew up: it lands in the same default Messages app on Android phones, but it can carry images, videos, carousels and buttons, and it shows your verified business name and logo at the top.
For an Indian business, the appeal is simple. Most of your audience is on Android. They do not have to install anything or save your number. The message just shows up, looking like a small, swipeable brochure.
What you can send
- Rich cards: one image or video, a title, a short description and buttons like "Call now", "Visit website" or "Book a slot".
- Carousels: up to 10 video or image cards side by side. A college can show ten courses; a hospital can show ten departments; a lender can show ten loan types.
- Suggested replies: quick-tap answers like "Interested", "Call me later" or "Not now", so people can respond without typing.
- Verified sender: your brand name, logo and description, checked before the agent goes live.
How it works with Smart Growth AI
Set up the sender
We help you register your RCS agent with your brand details. Once verified, every message carries your identity.
Build the message
Upload your videos or images, write short card copy, add buttons. We review it with you so the carousel reads well on a small screen. Short, punchy cards do better than long paragraphs.
Send and track
Choose your list, schedule, and watch delivery, read and click data come in. Replies and button taps are captured as leads in your Google Sheet.
RCS as the middle step in a smarter campaign
In the Smart Growth AI Campaign, RCS has a specific job. After the opening voice call, people who listened between 10 and 25 seconds are tagged as partially interested. They were curious but not ready. Instead of an expensive WhatsApp template, they get an RCS carousel or video brochure: enough to keep them warm, at a much lower cost.
RCS is also the safety net for numbers the voice call could not reach, whether because of DND, a switched-off phone or a failed connection. If RCS does not deliver either, a final DLT-compliant SMS goes out as the fourth fallback.
RCS or WhatsApp?
They are good at different things. WhatsApp is where two-way conversations live; people reply, ask questions and expect a quick answer. RCS shines at reaching people who have not messaged you before, with a visual pitch they can act on in one tap. Many of our customers use both: RCS to warm up a wide audience, WhatsApp for the smaller group that is clearly interested.
Ideas for a first RCS carousel
A coaching institute might use one card per batch, with a 20-second video of the faculty and a "Book counselling" button. A multi-speciality hospital could show one card per department with a "Call helpdesk" button. An overseas education consultant might show one card per country with a short student-life clip. Keep each card to one idea.
Practical notes
RCS works on supported Android phones with RCS switched on. When a phone does not support it, the system can fall back to SMS so the person still hears from you. Keep videos short and make the first card the strongest; plenty of people swipe once and decide. Every RCS campaign includes an opt-out option, and people who opt out are excluded from future sends.

FAQ
Questions people ask
Does the customer need to install an app to see RCS messages?
No. RCS messages arrive in the default Messages app on supported Android phones. The person does not need to download anything or save your number. If their phone does not support RCS, a fallback SMS can be sent instead.
How many cards can I put in an RCS carousel?
You can send a carousel of up to 10 cards, and each card can hold a video or image with its own title, description and buttons. This makes it handy for showing several courses, services or products in a single message.
Can RCS reach numbers on DND?
In our multi-channel campaigns we use RCS as the fallback for DND and failed numbers before sending a last-resort SMS. Delivery still depends on the phone supporting RCS and on the applicable rules, so we set it up carefully with you.
When should I use RCS instead of WhatsApp?
Use RCS to reach a wide audience with a visual pitch at lower cost, especially people who have not chatted with you before. Use WhatsApp for two-way conversations and for people who have clearly shown interest. Many businesses use both in sequence.
Will I know who clicked or replied?
Yes. Delivery, read, button-click and reply data are tracked, and people who tap or reply are added to your Google Sheet as leads. The AI campaign report also shows which RCS template performed better.
